Can my spouse prevent me from seeing my children? She is threatened when he is mad. We separated legally in VA.?
My wife and I have been separated legally for almost 3 years. We were married for 12 and after his affair after affair, I could not stand, but was willing to stay for the children. He introduced himself and me out, so after all this time to stay home alone, I met someone, and she has gone mad. She never called or any care as long as we have been separated until now. Our papers state separation have joint custody, but we have a set schedule. I just have to watch them on your convience, when she had to work, have her hair, had something to do, what has me a little quiet. Now she is saying I would never go to see my children, and is good for children or my girlfriend. What should I do.
You have joint custody so she can not do this. If you disagree then the easiest would be to take her to court and get a set schedule. If you still can not see them then she will be in contempt of court. If you follow so you can follow it and eventually turning can help you get full custody. We visit every other weekend or whatever they agree. A weekend we had him and threatened to call police and say he was abducted because she was furious and was showing a new boyfriend, we went to the police and ended up being a written report on it to interfere with the visits (embarrassed because the police showed her door and wrote all this.)
